The Slate environment provides all the functionality required to configure, monitor and diagnose all Aparian devices.
Various embedded tools simplify the out-of-box configuration of the module, these include:
- DHCP Server – Assign IP addresses.
- Target Browser – Scan network for EtherNet/IP devices.
- Ethernet Port Configuration – Setting IP addresses, speed etc.
- Device Flash – Used to upgrade the firmware of Aparian devices.
Multiple devices can be configured in a single Slate project and downloaded to their respective target devices as and when required.
With certain Aparian devices, that are able to interact with Rockwell Automation Logix controllers, the Slate environment supports the browsing of the online Logix tag database simplifying the device configuration.
The device configuration can be downloaded to, or uploaded from a device.
When online with a device, Slate provides detailed status monitoring of the device. The module's internal event log can be viewed, uploaded and saved to a file.
